Responsibilities

As Web Developer, your responsibilities may include any or all of the following:

Working with business and operations staff to identify, document, and triage bugs and feature requests on our existing systems.

Working under supervision to fix bugs and add new features on individual apps and services in Visual Studio.

Documenting existing code and functionality.

Writing, running, and reporting on unit, load, and coded UI tests for new and existing code.

Monitoring app and service analytics, triaging and responding to issues.

Working under supervision to perform Azure platform tasks: resource administration, backup, testing.

 
Opportunities

On completing your Graduate level, you should have a good general understanding of how our cloud platform functions, and a detailed knowledge of the individual services on which you have worked, as well as a good familiarity with the Azure services that we employ.

Two distinct career development paths are then available to you, depending on your interests and talents, one in DevOps, working with greater responsibility to administer, test, and manage our Azure resources, leading towards technical project management, and one in pure development, progressing to proposing and implementing new features for services, and eventually working at senior developer level to orchestrate services to complete new tasks and add new capabilities to our platform.

Required Skills

Solid C# and .Net development skills (with a preference for up-to-date C# 6+ .Net 4+).

Asp.Net MVC, WebAPI, Razor, Entity Framework, XML, JSON.

Ability to write clear, bug-free, self-documenting code.

Confident with Visual Studio for development, source control, debugging.

Ability to follow detailed instructions in the form of work items and diagrams.

Impeccable organisational skills to keep bugs, work items, code in good order.

Strong communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English.

Ability to work in a team

Eye for detail and identifying problems

 
Bonus Skills

Any experience with the following would be a bonus, but is not essential, as there will be full support and opportunity to learn: Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, GIT or Team Services, ability to read UML, service-oriented development, microservices, data analysis in Microsoft Excel or Power BI, awareness of common enterprise design patterns, familiarity with calling external APIs, asynchronous programming, TypeScript, OData, T-SQL, NoSQL, OAuth.

 
This position will be based in our head quarter in London where the candidate will receive 3 months training with our senior developer, after that he/she will join the team in Italy.
