We’re proud that, after a due diligence run by EY’s and Mint and a further selection process with an authoritative judging panel, we are now amongst the Top 10 winning finalists of the Nesta Open-Up Challenge. As Open Banking is providing a real opportunity to transform the SME credit sector, our Credit Passport will be connecting lenders, structured finance transactions and SMEs – enhancing access to finance for small businesses and facilitating entry to foreign markets.
The Nesta challenge, launched in February, invited teams from anywhere in the world to take this unique opportunity to develop next-generation services, apps and tools to support greater choice and flexibility for small businesses. Back in July Credit Data Research made the first cut and was selected as one of the 20 participants.
We want to thank the judging panel for this important recognition: Rowena Ironside (Chair of Women on Boards UK), Angus McLean (Head of Simmons & Simmons International FinTech), Imran Gulamhuseinwala (Head of EY’s Global FinTech practice), Niamh Barker (Founder of The Travelwrap Company), Sanjay Jain (iSPIRT, Open API), Richard Roberts (former SME Market Analysis Director at Barclays Bank), Owain Service (MD of the Behavioural Insights Team), Simon Wardley (Researcher the Leading Edge Forum), Jeni Tennison (CEO of the Open Data Institute).
Also, special thanks to the Nesta team for their great on-going support: Chris Gorst, Andrea Richardson, Harry Atkinson and Pete Smith as well as to McKinsey for their insight and advice on Open Banking.
